Ocean Reflections

A full year has passed since the exhilarating moment when my crew and I crossed the finish line of the World's Toughest Row in 2022, completing the daunting 42-day journey across the Atlantic. Spending New Year with barnacles, flying fish, whales…oh and a shark!

I’m writing this, we got the news yesterday that Miriam has passed the half way mark! What an achievement for a solo rower. This I’m sure will be a big boost to her morale. Miriam is continuing to make good progress albeit a bit slower the last few days. This has been due to choppy seas and the weather conditions but things look to be improving over the weekend and into next week.

Miriam‘s Christmas Day on the Atlantic

We did miss Miriam but spoke to her twice on Christmas which was lovely. She said she was very much missing a roast turkey dinner. Fortunately, as we have our own turkeys’ provisions have been made to enjoy another Christmas dinner when she comes home. Miriam mentioned she has been craving for hot buttered toast and roast potatoes.
